Furniture, Appliance, Mattress & Hot Tub Removal and Cleanouts in Bristol

Junk removal in Bristol, WI, for homes, farms and acreage. Garage and outbuilding cleanouts, shed removal, construction debris and old appliances out of basements and barns - you point at what goes, we carry it, and the truck leaves full.

Bristol runs along the state line west of I-94, above the Antioch and Wadsworth side of Lake County, so it is an easy reach from Waukegan. Pricing is by the space your load fills in the truck, with labor, loading, sweep-up and disposal fees inside one number you approve before we start.

Barns, sheds and acreage in Bristol

Most of Bristol is rural lots and acreage spread out from the crossroads at Hwy 45 and Hwy 50, and properties with that much room tend to collect. Pole barns fill with old equipment parts, lumber and furniture that was going to be fixed. Sheds sit behind the house until the floor rots through. Nothing gets thrown out because there has always been somewhere else to put it.

When a farm property is sold, divided or handed down, all of that has to come out at once. We clear whole properties in stages if that is what the job needs - house first, then garage, then the outbuildings - and metal goes to scrap rather than a landfill. Long driveways and buildings set back from the road are no problem.

Closer to I-94 and the state line by the Renaissance Faire grounds, Bristol's village neighborhoods need the ordinary things taken - furniture, full garages, a dead hot tub on the deck. Paddock Lake and Salem Lakes are just to the west, Pleasant Prairie is to the east, and Antioch is across the line to the south.

How pricing works

Wisconsin disposal rules

Where a Bristol load actually goes

Hauling on the Wisconsin side is not quite the same job as in Lake County, because Wisconsin's recycling law keeps more out of the landfill. Yard waste, major appliances, tires, cardboard and most household electronics - TVs, computers, monitors, printers and phones - are all banned from Wisconsin landfills, so a load has to be separated before anything is dumped.

That sorting is part of the price, not an add-on. Fridges and freezers go to a recycler that handles the refrigerant, electronics go to an e-waste recycler, brush and yard debris go to a yard waste site, metal goes to scrap, and furniture in decent shape goes to donation where it meets the intake standards.

What we cannot take is the same on both sides of the line: paint, solvents, pesticides, fuel, propane tanks and anything else that counts as household hazardous waste. If there is a shelf of it in the garage, we leave it where it is and tell you.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises at the end

  • 01Send a photo

Text a picture of the pile, the room or the item. Most jobs can be priced from that without anybody coming out.

  • 02Get a number

You get a flat, all-in price covering labor, loading, sweep-up and disposal fees. Not an hourly rate that moves.

  • 03Pick a slot

Same-day and next-day are often open. If you are working to a closing or a delivery window, we schedule around it.

  • 04We load and go

We carry it out - stairs and basements included - sweep the space and haul it off. You approve the price before anything moves.

Questions

Common questions in Bristol

Do you really come up to Bristol from Illinois?

Yes. We are based in Waukegan, a short run up I-94 or Sheridan Road from the state line, and Bristol is part of our service area. You call or text the same number, and the job is priced the same way as anywhere we work.

How is the price worked out?

By volume - how much space your items take up in the truck, measured in fractions of a load. Labor, loading, sweeping up and the disposal or recycling fees are all included in that number, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay.

Can you give me a price from a photo?

Usually yes. Text a picture of the pile, the room or the item and we can give you a number back the same day for most jobs. Larger jobs - a whole house, a barn, a hot tub with no path out - are worth a quick on-site look first.

How soon can you get here?

Same-day and next-day slots are often available, and we schedule Monday through Saturday with Sunday by arrangement. If you are working to a closing date, a lease end or a delivery window, tell us the deadline when you call.

What happens to everything after you take it in Wisconsin?

It gets sorted. Wisconsin bans yard waste, major appliances, cardboard and most electronics from its landfills, so those go to recyclers and yard waste sites. Usable furniture goes to donation where it meets intake standards, metal goes to scrap, and only what is left goes to a licensed transfer station.

Can you clean out a pole barn or outbuilding?

Yes. Barns and outbuildings tend to hold decades of equipment parts, lumber, old furniture and scrap metal. Metal goes to scrap and the rest is sorted and hauled. Send photos of the whole space and we will price it as one job or in stages.

Do you work on acreage and farm properties?

Yes. Long driveways and outbuildings set back from the road are no problem in Bristol. If the truck can get reasonably close, the carry is part of the price.

Is there anything you cannot take from a farm property?

Household hazardous waste - paint, solvents, fuel, pesticides and farm chemicals - plus propane tanks. Tires and large machinery need to be talked through before the job. Old furniture, lumber and scrap metal all go on the truck.
