Furniture, Appliance, Mattress & Hot Tub Removal and Cleanouts in Kenosha

Junk removal in Kenosha, WI, from a single couch to a whole house. Furniture out of upstairs bedrooms, appliances out of basements, garages cleared back to holding a car, and full basement and attic cleanouts - you point at what goes, we carry it out, and the truck leaves full.

We are based in Waukegan, a short run up Sheridan Road or I-94 from the state line, and Kenosha is part of our service area. The price works the same here as anywhere we haul: by the space your load fills in the truck, with labor, loading, sweep-up and disposal fees inside one number you approve before anything moves. Stairs never change it.

Text a photo of the pile to (224) 944-8652 and most Kenosha jobs get a price back the same day.

Kenosha, WI

Junk removal for every kind of Kenosha home

Kenosha is one of the biggest cities in Wisconsin, and its housing runs the whole range. Closer to downtown, Uptown and the lakefront, homes are older, with narrow stairways, full basements and detached garages that have been collecting since before the current owners moved in. Through the middle of the city along 52nd Street and 75th Street, post-war ranches and split-levels fill up the way every house does - one weekend at a time. West toward Green Bay Road and I-94, newer subdivisions come with big attached garages and finished basements, which is where old home gym equipment and packed garages tend to show up.

Kenosha also has a lot of rentals. Apartments and houses near Carthage College turn over around the end of the school year, and landlords across the city need units cleared between tenants before they can be cleaned and shown. That is move-out cleanout work - left-behind couches, mattresses, TVs and bags of whatever did not make the move - and it usually has a deadline attached.

Then there are the bigger jobs: a family clearing a parent's house before a sale, a basement that took water, a remodel that produced more debris than anyone planned for. For those we can come out and look first, and estate cleanouts can run in stages at whatever pace the family needs. If you are just over the city line in Pleasant Prairie or up in Somers, the pricing is the same.

Wisconsin disposal rules

Where a Kenosha load actually goes

Hauling on the Wisconsin side is not quite the same job as in Lake County, because Wisconsin's recycling law keeps more out of the landfill. Yard waste, major appliances, tires, cardboard and most household electronics - TVs, computers, monitors, printers and phones - are all banned from Wisconsin landfills, so a load has to be separated before anything is dumped.

That sorting is part of the price, not an add-on. Fridges and freezers go to a recycler that handles the refrigerant, electronics go to an e-waste recycler, brush and yard debris go to a yard waste site, metal goes to scrap, and furniture in decent shape goes to donation where it meets the intake standards.

What we cannot take is the same on both sides of the line: paint, solvents, pesticides, fuel, propane tanks and anything else that counts as household hazardous waste. If there is a shelf of it in the garage, we leave it where it is and tell you.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises at the end

  • 01Send a photo

Text a picture of the pile, the room or the item. Most jobs can be priced from that without anybody coming out.

  • 02Get a number

You get a flat, all-in price covering labor, loading, sweep-up and disposal fees. Not an hourly rate that moves.

  • 03Pick a slot

Same-day and next-day are often open. If you are working to a closing or a delivery window, we schedule around it.

  • 04We load and go

We carry it out - stairs and basements included - sweep the space and haul it off. You approve the price before anything moves.

Questions

Common questions in Kenosha

Do you really come up to Kenosha from Illinois?

Yes. We are based in Waukegan, a short run up I-94 or Sheridan Road from the state line, and Kenosha is part of our service area. You call or text the same number, and the job is priced the same way as anywhere we work.

How is the price worked out?

By volume - how much space your items take up in the truck, measured in fractions of a load. Labor, loading, sweeping up and the disposal or recycling fees are all included in that number, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay.

Can you give me a price from a photo?

Usually yes. Text a picture of the pile, the room or the item and we can give you a number back the same day for most jobs. Larger jobs - a whole house, a barn, a hot tub with no path out - are worth a quick on-site look first.

How soon can you get here?

Same-day and next-day slots are often available, and we schedule Monday through Saturday with Sunday by arrangement. If you are working to a closing date, a lease end or a delivery window, tell us the deadline when you call.

What happens to everything after you take it in Wisconsin?

It gets sorted. Wisconsin bans yard waste, major appliances, cardboard and most electronics from its landfills, so those go to recyclers and yard waste sites. Usable furniture goes to donation where it meets intake standards, metal goes to scrap, and only what is left goes to a licensed transfer station.

Do you work near Carthage College when students move out?

Yes. The end of the school year brings a lot of furniture, mattresses and mini-fridges that are not going home in a car. Landlords can book one visit for several units, and the load is priced by how much of the truck it fills.

Can you get furniture out of an older Kenosha house with narrow stairs?

Yes. Older homes near downtown and the lake often have tight stairways and small doorways. We take pieces apart when we have to, and stairs never change the price.

Do you clear rental units between tenants?

Yes. Landlords and property managers use us to clear what a tenant left behind so the unit can be cleaned and shown. Send photos of each room and we will price the whole unit in one number.
